Heat, bottled water, and the walk down Rustaveli

Water follows heat and footfall. It also follows whatever is already sitting in the back room.

Rows of bottled drinks packed in plastic wrap

A kiosk or a small grocery near Rustaveli can empty water on a hot Saturday and sit quiet on a cooler Monday when the offices are closed. Treating those two days as the same “weekly demand” produces a standing order that either overflows the back room or misses the weekend.

We split weekday and weekend units when the till file allows it. We also write down stock already held. A cautious June buy is a fact that belongs on the July line.

Weather beyond a fortnight is a guess, and we label it as such. A six-week water brief that pretends to know August in May is a story, not a replenishment note. The honest page is shorter.

If you want that kind of brief for a short horizon, the replenishment pack is the one to commission. Leave Easter overlays for the grocery categories that actually move with the feast table.
